Ila Loetscher, the "Turtle Lady of South Padre Island", originally formed our organization to save the Kemp's ridley sea turtle in 1977. Now we are a sea turtle hospital with a mission to rehabilitate and release any injured sea turtles, increase awareness concerning their safety and habitat, and assist with conservation efforts for all sea turtle species. We are funded by donations, grants and gift shop proceeds-- For rehabilitated sea turtle and hatchling release text message notifications, please see our website membership page. See you at Sea Turtle, Inc.!

The only place I've been where you can get really close to turtles. Wonderful presentations and great for families. It is a small facility, but it is expanding and doing wonderful work. Recommend visiting.

We stopped in for a little bit to see the turtles and see their efforts in getting these guys back into their native habitat. It felt good knowing our entrance fee helps make that so.

We stopped in here on an impulse to see the sea turtles. They have a pretty nice set-up and place to tour; some general educational displays, and then a good number of tanks to see the turtles in rehab. It was reasonably priced and definitely...More

This is a good cause. We did a self guided tour...probably would have been more impressed on a guided tour. The facility is very nice, with large tanks containing resident turtles.
