This place is great for a little weekend getaway when in the "not so summer" season. The kids loved it and the weather was just right for the heated outdoor pool.

Chelsea J, Thanks for sharing your experience and glad to hear you and the family enjoyed your time with us. The indoor waterpark is a great way to spend some quality time together when on the Island this time of year plus you can save money since "off-season" hotel rates are in effect, the weather is still beautiful and you... We live in New Braunfels, home of the huge and awesome Schlitterbahn. Snagged a cyber-Monday deal to upgrade our passes to all 4 Tx park passes so we came down to spend a few days before Christmas and try out their indoor park. First: this Bahn has actual alcohol! I didn't partake but have to say that's awesome as the... More

alohalife, WOW, thanks for all the kudos and sharing some of the Island highlights as well. As the Island's largest and newest beachfront resort, we offer great accommodations and discounted indoor, climate-controlled waterpark admission during this time of year with multiple restaurants and bars on property. Since this is the slower time of year, rates are extremely affordable and provide... More

I wrote a previous review about Schlitterbahn about a week ago but my pictures were not included. I told the wonderful story about the rescued burned prehistoric Loblolly pine forest and how it was milled to make this Schlitterbahn. Over 3 miles of rope from dozens of former ships was used to wrap structures. Many discarded sports structures were refurbished... More

Si O, Thanks for the descriptive response on all we have done to provide a unique property that has been written about in nearly two dozen articles across the country. Being able to repurpose beautiful Loblolly Pines that were destined to be turned into mulch to accent our resort provides a one of a kind feel that is unlike any... More

We have never been to any other Schlitterbahn parks but this one was perfect for our family, my 9 and 10 year old loved the different attractions and we spent a great day there! The "indoor water park" is really just 1 water slide and a lazy river. There is a small area for very small children but nothing more than that. And it advertises to be a heated waterpark which is NOT true. If you are not staying at the hotel you are forced to park in a field and walk down a... More
