An update from a year ago. This time I went on the trail early Sunday morning. There were many "expert" birders who were very willing to share their knowledge. I learned a lot and even saw more than I realized was out there. It's also...More

We found lots to see mid-day - the para-sailers and net fishermen, boats, herons and egrets, sand pipers, hermit crabs, butterflies, hummingbirds. It was a nice stress-free walk.

Walk with the birds and may be more. Lots of nature to be seen and heard if you take your time. Also a good place to ride your bike along the trails.

Find this trail in front of the Convention Center. We are novices but talked to people along the trail that shared their knowledge. Also a guy pointed out a baby alligator.

We're not avid birders but we do enjoy seeing birds we've never seen before. This boardwalk was a treasure for us. We saw a reddish egret (new!), also common moorhens with their brightly colored beaks & feet. And all the usual birds... herons, egrets, multitudes...More

I take my morning walks there. As a birder it is a great place to find and photograph the wildlife. Quite often you spot more uncommon birds among the trees and marsh grasses. Easy walking and close by all hotels. Parking at the convention center....More

The free trail starts next to the convention center near the whaling wall (also worth seeing). You can travel along its boardwalk and see various birds; lizards; fish and if your lucky even an alligator all in their natural setting and habitat. (I must admit...More
