Great local dive, nice people, good music. Great happy hour. Historic dive yet refined. George Strait started here. Full bar as well as a good draft selection.

New, up and coming, and successful songwriters can all be found here. This is a very casual bar with a wooden dance floor and pool tables in the back. It is nothing fancy but that just makes it more comfortable. The bar has a good...More

Decent Prices for beer, and some of the Best Music outside Austin and Gruene Hall. This establishment knows how to support local and touring artist.

We saw Todd Snyder there last week. Chatham Street is unique and all about the music. It is a " Hill Country" place in San Marcos, Texas. We are planning to go again soon.

George Strait got his start here, keep this in mind. It's a real Texas honky tonk and it's a dive bar by most definitions. The "crowds" are small, the music is awesome, they have some really awesome craft beers on tap and it's cheap!
