Indianola is a a small fishing pier about 30 minutes south of Port Lavaca. We were looking for a place to fish and decided to check it out. I thought they furnished poles but it turned out that they only had tackle. We decided not to stay but it would be a good place to check out, they had lots... More

The staff are the best. They help you with everything. Nice & quiet during the week, when school is in. Can be very busy on weekends, but a descent family oriented place.

Kind of run down, but lots of fun. Fresh bait, inexpensive camping, and lots of small trout. If you like catch and release, this fishing location provides lots of Speckled Trout Action. The trout are mostly "Schoolies" around 12-14 inches, so they are not legal to keep. A diligent fisherman can catch 50-100 per night of fishing under lights with... More

I love Indianola! Sleepy little historical city on the bay. Best place to get fresh shrimp right off the boat is at the Marina at a great price!! The boats go out early morning almost daily and come in before noon. Nice patio to relax under.

Area is well kept and the fishing is great. Getting bait is not an issue and boat launching is no problem. I would definitely recommend the area.

While in the area with family, the boys wanted to get a hook wet . This place was perfect, even under bad conditions. High winds and rain, but they have large covered deck with tables and chairs. A variety of live bait to fish off the deck . While sitting watching the kids fish, we ordered food for the group.... More

Well, I was looking for the old ghost town and wandered into this place. I wasn't here to fish, so I can provide no comments on that. The old town site is probably the most interesting place on this stretch of coast - but that is just my opinion.
