Came to the River on July 3rd with 24 people age 4 to 72. That time a year if you are not bringing your own tube make reservations with one of the local companies. It was crowded, but all of us had a great time....More

I imagine from the photos this is a zoo in the summer but it is very peaceful on an overcast winter day. Nice to see without the crowds. Beautiful river and scenery, lots of birds.

This is a great place to visit and have some fun. Try to pick a day when the youngsters aren't there and you will have a great time. When you get some good weather to float the river you should take advantage to do this...More

It's wonderful to tube here in the summer but it's a great place to visit in the fall and winter, off season, as well!

Agree with Genoa (Houston) comments. It gets really crowded as weather warms up.You can get with the New Braunfels Tourist folks to get info. It just depends on what your budget and needs require. Book early if you can. Have... More

I believe people start tubing in the river after spring break, depends upon the Air Temperature (as the water temperature is cool year round), the weather, and the level of the river if you are to go tubing. The river... More
