A lovely afternoon visit. The grounds are well cared for. Several special sites have both the original (old) headstone and a new one that is more easily read.

The Old Grove Cemetary will tells you about the history of Nacogdoches and the state of Texas. It's quite big a area where you can walk around. There's a lot of historical figures of Texas, also spanish graves. It's an interesting place to visit.

I love old cemeteries and this one is just lovely with the large trees and beautiful old church next door. It has plenty of shade so you can browse through a bit more comfortably.

Found Thomas J Rusk's grave here. Very interesting to walk among one of the founders of Texas. Certainly worth a look.

We enjoyed wandering thru and looking at all the beautiful, old monuments. Lots of history here. If you've got the time it's worth at least a drive thru.

An old historic cemetery with many important Texans buried here including many members of my family. It's a well maintained cemetery and not too large where you can't walk over and explore the many interesting and historical graves.

Pretty cool history to walk around and learn about the area. Teenagers were excited to just get out and walk. They also enjoy history too.
