Very friendly, knowledgeable staff, nice area to ride bikes, with frequent rest stops. One can go fishing here but must walk a ways to get to the water(no outside vehicles allowed). Gift store with good selection of nature books, T shirts, cold drinks.

Mission Biking and Hiking trails are okay. Flat terrain. Quiet. Simple. Healing the herons and Canal water. A shooting range within the distance. The most outdoorsy place I found in this area.

By the time we visited in mid May they had stopped maintaining the feeding stations but there were still a variety of birds around. Be prepared for the hot weather and stay hydrated.

What a nice park. There was lots of wildlife and good walking/biking paths. A nice little visitor's center too - with bathrooms.
