    Just visit during the evening!!
If visiting during summer I would suggest saving money by buying an evening ticket which allows access from 6pm i believe. When we went for the whole day the park was so busy it was over an hour wait for all rides and the queues get very boring which takes away from the experience of the actual ride when you finally get to it. We stayed from 11am until 11pm and after 7pm the park was basically empty! The waits for the rides that had previously been 2 hours (dragon khan & shambhala) were about 10 minutes which was basically just walk straight on. We managed to do all the big rides and a few others in a couple of hours! Definitely don’t bother coming during the day- the evening is less busy and there’s more shows and entertainment

    Adventure for everyone
A great theme park for all ages. I love how it is all set up as mini worlds such as China, Polynesia, The Wild West, The Mediterranean, Mexico and even seasame street. They were all decorated so well and felt like you had been transported to that country. I went with my partner and we loved the rollercoasters. Dragon Khan was amazing. Thrill seekers will be in their element. I would recommend avoiding visiting on the weekend due to how busy it can be. The longest we queued for a ride was 1hour but it did seem to get worse throughout the day. There are a few restaurants and vendors throughout the park.

    Port Aventura visit Mon 3/7/2023
Lack of staff about to help manage a smooth experience. Unsure if covid played a part in this. People kept jumping the queue mainly spainish aged school children. Queues up to 1 hour 50 mins. If you are bigger in the skin like myself and parter. You will struggle to feel comfortable on the rides. Some won't let you on at all. I get the safety aspect but by now I would have thought attractions would be more diverse. My favourite ride dragon Khan which was worth the wait.

A theme park not to be missed
Had a great day out here, the rides were mind blowing. Went to Ferrari land aswell. If you have just a day here like we had I'd highly recommend getting the express passes. You'll get on all the rides in a day then. Only negative was it was peak season & some of the restaurants weren't open during the day. Other than that can't wait to get back.

    Fantastic Rides. Poor food.
Excellent park.plenty to do. We had a two day trip. 1st day we queued and managed to get about 10 rides done. Average length queue was about an hour. The 2nd day we got two fast passes. A bit expensive but well worth it. We managed to get over 80 rides done. Many multiple times. One tip. Bring your own food. Very very expensive for rubbish. 2 lunches. 1/2 rack of ribs. Warm chips. Drink and an ice cream for 2 people £40. 10 out of 10 for the rides. 1 out of 10 for the food

    Great park
My partner and I had a great time during our 2 day visit to PortAventura and FerrariLand. It’s pretty much capitalism at it’s finest. You’re gonna want to have one of those Express Passes. More on that later. The first day we entered the park as soon as it opened the gates and man it got crowded really fast. We figured we’d follow the Spanish kids as they rushed the park to Shambhalah, truly a sight to behold. One of B&M’s smoothest most thrilling hypercoasters. Queue times can get quite long, don’t rely too much on the queue time displays scattered around the park. Ride operators are in no rush to get trains to leave the stations, meaning the rides don’t

Great Park but too long queues
We pre booked our tickets online and found this was cheaper than paying on arrival. As we were staying in Salou we walked to the entrance for 10am when it opened and the entrance was absolutely packed and felt quite claustrophobic. We walked to the 1st ride of Furious Bacon and ended up queuing for 2 hours to get on this ride, even then we jumped the queue a little as most people were in groups and wanted to go on the ride together and they just needed 2 people so we out our hand up and were called to the front. The ride is amazing if a little short. Not sure its worth the 2 hour wait. We tried to get on the new Enchanted ride but the queue for this was even longer so gave it a miss. There are boards all around the park giving queue times but don't take the as accurate. A must for us was the Turkish Splash but be prepared to get wet. Its a great park and not as expensive as some but just be prepared to queue a lot. Food and drink is very expensive but you are allowed to take your own in if you want. If you use a rucksack there are lockers available around the park or you can leave them at the side of each ride. There is lots more to see and do than just the rides so if you are not a thrill seeker there is still lots to do.

    Great Day Out
Tickets - recommend getting in advance so can just scan at gates rather than waiting in queues to buy or pick up at booth. Wait times - we visited on 7th July and entered park at opening (10:30am) and averaged 30min wait time. Up until about 1pm when the ques grew to 1-1.5 hours, we then explored the park and got lunch. After about 3pm things got quiet again and managed another couple of rides again. Finishing at new ride uncharted which we done in around 45min. If I was to do it again I would go later in evening after 4pm potentially as lines are smaller and not as hot as shade is limited. We stayed until 6pm and grab a taxi with ease at taxi rank outside entrance (in car park).

    Gone downhill
Been many times before and there some great rides but the park looks rundown and staff are miserable. I understand that all safety precautions have to be carried out but the staff on the rides are so slow. Huge queues and they take forever to get people on. Many rides staff were just chatting and stopping and starting whilst 2 hour queues were waiting. Shambala, the splash section doesn’t work and the pool is dirty and looks terrible. This is repeated around the park. The food is the worst I’ve ever had in a theme park. We paid €35 for 2 meals in the wild west eating hall and it was uneatable. Sad as there are some goof rides but the place needs an overhaul.

    Fantastic Theme Park
This is a superb theme park. It is Europe’s answer to Universal Studios in the U.S.A. The rides are huge, and only those in the U.S can compare! Been here four times now and it never disappoints. The shows here are also fantastic, and at the end of the night there is a lovely parade and a great show on the lake with a firework finale! A really fun place to visit, and you will need at least two days to fully appreciate it. We will definitely visit again and again and again😀

Fabulous park for the serious thrill seekers to the nice easy rides! The shambala and furious baco is the two best rides in the park but only for the major thrill seeker, all other rides are great too but not as thrilling as those two! Fast passes we'll worth it as you'd be waiting up to two hours in line which is such a waste of time and takes the good out of it but all rides don't have fast pass included so worth checking before purchasing.
Please wear comfortable shoes as the feet will be walked off you!!!
Food and drink very expensive but not allowed to bring your own food and drink so either fill up before going or be prepared to pay astronomical prices! Eg we paid €70 for burgers and chips with drinks (×3) which was just mediocer and a bottle of was is nearly €5!!!

wish i read reviews before i went, shocking park cost me the guts on nearly 500 euros for family of 9, sons 18th i person has mobility issues so was not able to go on any rides.

first time visiting park will not be back for second, no organization to get through security people just barging through to get up front, my sister in law was on mobility scooter asked security to let her through strap barrier has crowd were just barging over the top of her he said "no speak any English " i bet you he would if i held barrier up myself.
Any way got through security was not sure what do to next as had tickets on my phone from operator waited at front kiosk was told to go on, got to first ride in PortAventura world tickets was also for Ferrari land queue for first ride was at foot off steps we decide to go to the top of the park and work our way down waiting times for rides was 2 -3 hours people just barging through other people waiting in line, 4 of the family bought express pass to ride Shambala at 22 euros each 3 got on 1 didn't said that the safety rail would not go down over his legs as he was to big his brother is about the same size he got on, the offered him a fast pass to the same ride what use would that be, even if another family member was to use it the others would have to wait in queue or pay another 22 euros we got on 2 rides in the whole 7 hours we were in the park at 5 we decided to go to Ferrari land as it opened at 5 3 of the family went round to queue for the ride 2 hours waiting to be told ride was broken.
i have read a lot of good and bad reviews , don't see anybody getting any refunds from the park. seen a lot of replies from the park to me they all seem to what i would call fob off statements
looked at the owners and shareholders page a lot of money focused people looked at the turnover as-well £260 million maybe they should go to the park themselves and see what people are actually telling the truth about their experience.
if you work hard all year to save money to go to this park check out other reviews find something else to do
this is my opinion of my experience. i know everyone has different experience.

Lots of uninformed people come to Salou at the wrong time. It's cheap to go to Salou and visit portaventura in early June. But guess what all the Spanish school trips happen in the first 3 weeks of June. So expect long lines and big crowds. If you are only a portaventura for a day or 2 get the express pass. It's about 60 euro for the day each. It's really worth it if you want to ride everything. But best wait until the end of June , round 21st and the schools finish. That's the Goldilocks week. Lines are shorter and the park is quieter. Also Salou picks up around this time with events all over the resort. Also if you stay in any of the portaventura hotels you have unlimited access to the park so you can come and go as you please. Be wanted before the 21st or 22nd of June lots of the hotels have reduced facilities. Like no pool bars or food ( hotel Caribe) in the afternoon or after 11. But we used Uber eats. (Will deliver to reception or security if the hotel is gated).

Really disappointed with our trip here today. I visited the park 20 years ago and had been really looking forward to visiting again as an adult but it was completely swamped with big school trip groups. Whilst that shouldn't be a problem itself, it meant the wait times for the large rollercoasters were 2-3 hours each. As a result we only went on 4 rides in the 7 hours we were there and they weren't any of the big rollercoasters. We hoped the ride times would calm down by the end of the day but there was still a 2 hour queue for shambhala when there was only 1 hour before the park closed?!

The wait times shown on the app and screens were inconsistent and there were many ride breakdowns throughout the day. The queue style was incredibly stressful to be in, very cramped, loud and hot.

I won't return as I feel it was a huge waste of one of my holiday days. I know Portaventua will just reply to this saying "we're sorry for the inconvenience" but there's nothing they can do to rectify this disappointing trip.

I used to come to this park every year as a kid so was gifted a trip here by my parents for Christmas. We had a bit of a hit and miss experience to be honest. We bought a 2 day 2 park pass which allowed entry to Ferrari land on the first day. The first day we were greeted to hundreds of kids on school trips pushing and shoving to get through tickets and the bag check. Once we got into the park it was no different, the kids were running wild everywhere nearly knocking us flying multiple times. The queue times were completely off and we always queued double what it said on the screen and app. The kids were pushing in on every ride completely jumping over the barriers and going straight to the front - no staff monitoring it and preventing this. On the first day every single ride broke down which we were in the queue for - one broke down and we got kicked off after queuing for an hour and paying for a locker. We weren’t reimbursed for the locker or offered anything for wasting our time queuing. The temperatures were hitting 30 degrees and people were getting stuck on rides in the scorching sun. Following on from this we encountered really rude staff at one of the food kiosks who spoke to us in Spanish and when we said English she was clapping her hands at us and telling us she was closed and to go away. Ferrari land was a lot more peaceful although it only opens at 5-10pm. Which after queuing 3 hours for red force leaves you no time to experience the other rides or have a proper look around. Bear this in mind if you are getting the same ticket as us as you will need to be there at 5 or no chance of experiencing everything. On a positive note the second day was a lot better with quieter queues and not as may rude kids. Overall I would probably go back but not in a rush.

Pro’s

- Very expansive park with lots to see & do

- At Times when operations are good, the queue normally does go down quite fast

-Food options, are quite good, you can customise your orders such as taking bits off that you wouldn’t eat

- The theming around the park is top notch almost at level with Disney

Negatives
- The ‘cattlepen’ queues that they normally make you wait in, for the big rides with it being quite warm can make the environment feel very stuffy & tense.

- We didn’t experience it much, but for some of the big rides some school children felt it appropriate to push in, and even experienced sometimes arguments break out with tourists, and with no staff around this continued throughout the day

-Found some of the ride hosts to be quite rude & even had one of the staff members tap me on the shoulder.

- Some of the transport options (boat, train) weren’t operational whilst we were there, which lead to quite long walks to get from one side of the park to other other, I get it’s not quite start of the summer season and obviously trying to save money, but when you have a massive park like this, it is not ideal.

Selected rides open early for hotel guests. However these rides then have technical difficulties everyday and no one gets on them until at least normal time.
False advertising , promises etc spoils the start of every day being lied to

I visited the park with my family this June. It was rainy day, they closed the park earlier and did not refund even one euro! That was very disappointed experience, I paid lots of money, did not get the service and they refused to refund!

Well and truly amazing, we spent two days here and honestly could have easily spent more time, we spent nearly a whole day in the Wild West area.

If I ever go back to Salou area I’d definitely like to go back.

Bought tickets on renfe (portaventura official partner) for over 60€ each, when we arrived at the entrance they told us they needed to contact renfe to issue the QR code for entrance and after almost 1 hour waiting told us we had to buy new tickets

This was a literal scam, never thought such a reputable company could steal money from customers so bluntly but yeah, top tier experience
