We did this only because I saw it on TripAdvisor and it sounded like a hoot, and it was. It is quite hard work pedalling uphill but honestly, if I can do it anybody can. We started downhill, then turned around and pedalled uphill. Personally...More

A disused railway line which you can cycle on using specialised bikes which you hire. The route goes two ways, we went 5k down hill and then the return journey was up hill. Took us just over an hour and really enjoyed it. Free parking...More

Converted railway trolleys with 4 seats and cycling pedals. 5km uphill and then back again. 2 people pedal but you still need to be fit. Base Station has a nice picnic and barbecue area.

Velorails are generally fun and this is no exception. The basic idea is a former railway line that you can now cycle along in a makeshift bike-train contraption. In season it is advisable to reserve by phone, but we turned up on the off chance...More

My partner, dog and I arrived at Rando Rail on a Sunday morning. I was pleased that dogs were allowed but we didn't realize two people are required to cycle for the rail cart to move optimally. This left our dog in the unsecured hammock...More
