A long walk
Apr 2019
A long walk from Leganes Central Metro station, you are better off taking the regional train from Atocha to Zarzaquemarda which is closer.
25 euros against Athletic Club is the cheapest entrance, although only 20 against Celta Vigo, however the Madrid weather can catch one by surprise and there's is hardly any cover from the elements. There is little available in terms of refreshment, and it is at least a ten minutes stroll to find anything nearby.

Good atmosphere

Butarque is twenty minute ride from the city of Madrid. We decided to take a taxi,16 euro ride well worth it. This was a local derby against Getafe and the stadium was practically full, more than 11000 people. We bought VIP tickets for 90 euros. Heated box was really nice in a chilly night, the game began at 9pm. The pitch seemed to be in mint condition. The stadium was in an excellent shape, too. It is not a big stadium but certainly worth visiting.

Really Enjoyed It
Feb 2018 • Solo
I went to Butarque to see Leganes against Eibar and even though the home side lost and there was no happy ending, I really enjoyed the day.
It's a proper little community stadium this one with great views of the action. Intimate and cosy, you feel a part of the game unlike the way most modern arenas have you sitting up with the Gods or perched behind a running track.
The place is spotless and well maintained. It looks like a recent facelift, perhaps to bring the ground up to Primera Liga standard after their promotion?
The crowd were very friendly and welcoming to a tourist like me and as I said, I felt like I was in a real community club surrounded by locals and families.
About a 20 minute train ride on the C5 from Atocha costing €1.85. Get off at Leganes station or the one before it is better- Zarzaquemada where if you turn left at the station entrance by the big clock you can see the stadium and a path through a small park leads you right there. So easy. About a ten minute walk and you can't go wrong as you see the floodlights and grandstand all the way.
So if you're looking for top flight football in an intimate setting, I heartily recommend Leganes!
