Another amazing turn of the century building on the walk about in madrid. The palacio de cibeles is both wonderful from the front, and also has a beautiful covered atrium which can be walked through from side to side.

Unfortunately when I was there the magnificent post office building was partially undercover due to renovations. However the beautiful fountain in the middle of the roundabout was in full view.

Sadly we didn't have time to explore the exhibitions but we did go to the observation deck for the views. I wish we would have had more time to spend exploring. If you want some great panoramic pictures, this is the place to go.

This place has a fascinating history as the city's central post office and, later, as a telecommunications hub. Today it's a museum with excellent exhibits that showcase the creativity and local culture of Madrid. The interior architecture is also stunning. It's easily overlooked, but well...More
