Incredible views and beautifully maintained castle . Just used as the set for a battle for the next Game of Thrones sequel . The walk up the hill takes up intriguing cobble stone lanes . There is a hotel just below the castle , looks amazing , didn't go in . Next land down an old villa with vines and... More

Great views from the castle. This is the highest point in Trujillo, with views of the city, landscape, etc. So bring your camera. You can reach the top in a car if you have disabilities.

This area offers a rich history of various occupations. We drove up ( accidentally) but I would recommend a walk, as the streets are very narrow, even by Spanish standards. We were there on a Sunday before noon and not much was open. Great historical site.

This was free to enter, and walk around the grounds and wall, no rooms were open to visit. View from the walls is fabulous. They do alot of filming of movies in this town so be beware, if they are filming for example in the castle, you wont be able to visit anything. The day we visited they were removing... More

It was well worth the climb to the top of the hill - you could see for many many miles from the ramparts

Amazing view and very historical rich castle. We stayed in the Mirador de las Monjas hostal and it was amazing, the breakfast was excellent and the staff very kind.

We loved this town!!! The castle is its crowning glory! The walk up was quite steep from the main square, but beautiful streets and views/photographic opportunities along the way. The views from the top of the castle walls of the town down below and the surrounding countryside are fantastic! The structure itself is one of the most impressive structures I've... More

This is the highest point in this lovely town in Extremadura. There are 360 degree views across the plains to the distant mountains including a birds eye view of the medieval town below.

For castle lovers, this one is a real gem - it brings multiple architectural styles, layout, size and incredible views to the table. Go as late in the day as possible to catch the sundown.
