We had heard rave reviews of this place. I must say I was a bit disappointed. The building could definitely use an update and still retain its charm. Nice location and convenient to get too. Parking is not very good.

I attended a conference here and just loved the atmosphere. I felt like I was walking through the Andy Griffith show and era. In the old courtroom, you could almost feel that there had been trials there. Very nicely done, well kept and a visit...More

We are glad you stopped by and hope you visit us again. Did you know that the original judge's bench is still located underneath the stage? Or that the last trial in our Courtroom Theater took place in 1980? So much history in such a...More

I have rented space at the MPAC several times for workshops. The folks there are incredibly helpful -- from making the reservations to setting up the space. I particularly love to use The Gallery -- a rock-walled room down in the basement. Its history adds...More

it's an old court house that dates way back in McKinney's local history - there is evidence of a segregated bathroom located in the basement - i'm a 70's baby so that bit of history was culturally, socially and emotionally shocking... it was evidence of...More

Om: We continued are yearly tradition, this time with the kids, to see, “A Christmas Carol” at the MPAC! It’s a small-ish theater that has a balcony, really not a bad seat in the house. Tickets for most plays are very reasonably priced, adult tickets...More

This review does not present a full review of the performing arts center. My goal as I traverse the state is to capture images of all the courthouses in the state of Texas. This old Collin County Courthouse happens to be one, as well as...More

I was making a statement to the same effect. It wasn't a question. Someone reviewed the actual working courthouse in the area of the MPAC where I had made a review. Was making a correction the same as you. Don't think... More
