This part of town is for the younger crowd. Lots of alcohol consumption after 9:00pm I do not recommend if you are looking for an upscale enjoyable evening.

Great vibe to this bar. Great music and not that loud that you can't hear someone talking to you. Clientele was smartly dressed good looking. Being from Michigan I didn't know what to expect. Bartenders were very friendly, having a great time interacting with the patron. Drinks were well made and very reasonably priced. To all the people I met... More

I like 17th St night clubs. There are many places to grab a bottle of beer or wine. However, majority of people are Hispanics and if you do not know their language, it may be a bit boring. Try to drop by with a Hispanic companion.

There were plenty of bars and clubs to visit. Wide variety so everyone should be able to find a place that suits them. There is also a really good restaurant called Patio on Guerra.

This is McAllen's attempt at an entertainment district, but the bars generally found here are uninspired and devoid of any kind of outside the box thinking, mostly just a bunch of crowded places to get expensive gin and tonics.
