We had a great time on our trail ride with Kathy. The horses were great, very calm and easy going. I am a bit nervous and Kathy made sure to pick the right horse for me, Charlie. Kathy was a great guide. She is very friendly and informative.

My wife and I just finished a two hour trail ride with Kathy (the owner) at Canyon Lake. We had a really great time. The horses were friendly and Kathy was very easy to talk with and ask questions. There were three other people on our ride. We all had a great time with the horses. We rode a full... More

My husband and I had a friend coming in from NH for a visit and so we thought what better way to experience a little bit of Texas than on horseback around Canyon Lake. It was a great decision! The horses are extremely well cared for and gentle. Kathy was great and definitely knows what she's doing. We will return... More

Kathy was great she booked us over the phone and sent a text with directions. The horses were great and the trail was beauitful. Kathy picks out the horses ahead of time for your experience.... I am from Houston, Texas. My boyfriend and I planned a trip to Texas Trailriding co for my Birthday, Sunday March 24. We stayed at a B&B in New Braunfels (Acorn Hill B&B). I was very excited to take the horseride as it would be my first time. I was taking a lot of pictures and my phone battery ran... More

I grew up riding horses and trained, rode and showed them for 30 years. I read all of the reviews posted here before heading out to San Antonio. I've never been a fan of trail rides, especially on a strange horse. However, I would have to say, Kathy is an excellent horsewoman. She runs a good business and makes every... More

Kathy did a wonderful job! She was completely capable of handling all the horses with three inexperienced riders, two of which were 10yo girls. I could tell she LOVES her animals! The trail is lovely with lots to see! We took the horses in the water and even stopped to pick wild flowers! It was def worth the money! We... More

I haven't been riding on a horse in over 12 years. My boyfriend and I planned a trip to Canyon Lake and horse back riding was a must on our list of things to do. We were very disappointed to see that they would not consider offering a 2 person ride. The owner said that it wasn't worth it and... More

As a business owner I dont ever want to tell people we wont take less than 3 people on a ride but we are the only company that hauls to the locations to take groups on these rides. When the person wrote this review she doesnt consider the cost and time to get these horses to the trail. It takes... More

We went on the Canyon Lake ride for the second time today with Mike as our guide. I cannot express in words the sheer joy we experience with this company. They choose the horse best suited for your experience level and size. They also make every rider, regardless of experience level, feel comfortable. They don't talk down to anyone, have... More

This was my 2nd time to ride with Kathy. The 1st time I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Her horses are well taken care of. After having an accident on my horse, my trainer encouraged me to regain my confidence by riding other horses. This is how I ended up at Texas Trail Riding Co. My 1st visit... More

This what happens when one rider wont listen to the guide and makes a horse continue to break away from the group and run ahead. It upsets the whole group of horses. When we have beginners and one person that thinks they are experienced they dont listen. For the safety of the group I made a rider switch with me.... More
