The Presidio County Courthouse has been recently renovated, it has original wood doors, floors and banisters. The three story building has stairs and an elevator so you can see all floors, the original courtroom. The Dome on the top is stairs only, but worth the climb, to see the panoramic view of Marfa and west Texas. Pet friendly lawn has... More

The courthouse is a typical historic Texas style - very interesting. The town is small and it is a short walk from the two major hotels in town - Hotel St. George and Paisano.

We walked around the town a bit. We stayed in a VRBO off Columbia and Austin. Great location. We were able to walk around pretty much anywhere in Marfa since it is such a small town. We did the courthouse which allows you to go to the top and check out 360 views of Marfa. It is hard to miss... More

Does any state have better county courthouses than Texas. C'mon, no way! And this is a good one, remodeled just in the past 15 years or so. Very attractive pink stucco exterior, lovely inside, too. Be sure to climb to the top for a great 360 degree view of Marfa!

Stopping here while in Marfa to hunt some geocaches walked around the courthouse and downtown a few shops nearby and a couple of good restaurants. There is a hotel there that was in the movie Giant!!!

Pretty Courthouse, and easily accessible from the main drag in Marfa. We didn't go inside, but it was pretty enough from the outside. The Courthouse isn't in the center of a town square like many Texas towns, but it's more at the "head of the table," so to speak. One of the nicest buildings in town.

This is a gem. It is a lovely old building in good shape. Worth a trip by to visit. Friendly locals. Nice walk around the courthouse.

The Presidio County Courthouse if a well preserved, well maintained, and functioning edifice that is the center of Marfa. The pink stucco exterior blends with the brown pastels of the chihuahua desert and the cupola towers above the town for a tremendous view of the entire area. Drop by and climb to the top of the Courthouse for the best... More

There are some terrific photo opportunities here. The color of the stone, the unusual architecture, and the well-kept square make it a great place to wander by and take some pictures.
