We are visiting all the state parks around Austin, and this one is only so-so. It is great if you live near Lockhart, or happen to be driving through, but I would not make it a destination. Why? It has several (11) short walking trails, a creek w/CCC era dams, and camping spots, but the terrain is nothing special. The... More

Stop by and see the outdoors by hiking the many trails in the park. Nice creek to do some creek fishing as the fish are biting most of the time. Lots of nature to take in.

We happen upon this park while traveling in our motor home. Quite, clean, well kept and right on a golf course.

Hiked for about 2 hours by doing 3 or 4 connecting trails. Nice and peaceful and although we did start at first light, never encountered another human on the trails. We did see a few rabbits and kicked up a wild pig. Going g back tomorrow to do a couple other trails. Very easy to locate, about 10 minute drive... More

Smal size Sate Park. They allow dogs. $3 entrance fee for adults. It has a great big hall that is air conditioned that is great for family celebrations. Nice camping facilities and a good size pool to cool off the kids. They also have a Golf Course there which you do not often see at a Sate Park. The picnic... More

Great camping, both tent sites and RV sites. Restrooms and showers were clean. I can't speak to the other attractions in the park, basically used it as an overnight campsite.

It is a beautiful park but rather small. Excellent for golfers. There was a nice creek but I would not swim there. Chilled out at the pool, had to pay a small fee.

We stopped here for a hike. The park is very well kept and a nice location to visit. We hiked on a couple of trails. The trails are left pretty much natural so that you can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Our children love the rock waterfall and had fun walking around in the water. There are 4... More

Nice small golf course; great camping area and nice ambiance. Very nice nature trails, cliffs and small critters.
