We visited with a group of 30. There are some railroad items including a caboose that a person can tour. The depot is filled with local history items. There is also an old library with books and documents.

This is a great little stop when making a day of it at the beach. There's a lot of historical information and photos/ artifacts about the La Porte area. Also you can get a little geocaching in.

My spouse and I visited the Historic Sylvan Beach Depot. The interior is mostly occupied by a large conference table and aging display cases with artifacts and photographs from the past. It is open on the weekends only from 11AM to 4PM. Admission is free.
