A highly recommended park in northeast Texas with the largest natural lake in Texas and interesting swamp-land. This park is near the towns of Karnack, Uncertain, and Marshall.

The cabin we had was clean and comfortable. Bed linens and Towels were provided but not soap. Bathroom was good size. Small refrigerator, microwave and cooktop, in the small kitchen. Very nice but for $95 they could provide some soap !

If you can come prepared for mosquitos, this is a beautiful lake to fish, hike around, or sit and muse. With the moss hanging on the limbs of cypress trees wading in marsh, mist that rises from the lake at times, and seasonlly-changing wildlife, you...More

My wife and I drove through here to see the changes that have occurred since my last visit some 20 years ago. Beautiful lake with great cypress trees and lots of Spanish Moss hanging from it. Lots of great camping spots.

Our family had a reunion here and used the pavilion. It was great, the price was reasonable, and the scenery good.

I have been here during take last week of the year. It’s really awesome. Took a boat tour and the views are cool. Don’t miss the big cypress wall cannel view.

Stopped by to view the state park to consider for future visits. This place is fairly secluded and very peaceful. There were not many visitors at the location due to the cold weather. We hoped to take a boat tour of the lake and bayous,...More

We spent a day at this park with our 2 grandchildren, ages 7 and 3. We had a great time hiking. The kids enjoyed the trails. We also rented canoes and took them out for a spin on the lake. The Ranger station was small...More

The atmosphere here at Caddo state park and Caddo Lake is very unique with the Spanish moss and cypress trees. If you are lucky you may even see a sleepy alligator laying out on the creek bank sunning.

Spouse and I took our 3 fur babies to this beautiful park. Stayed in our Road House and enjoyed the hiking. I must admit, we could hear the echos of the traffic over the near by bridge. Other than that, nice time had by all.

We have been to this location more than once. It's a great place to hike. It's really wooded and hilly. During duck season hunters are allowed to hunt. There tent pads, covered shelters, and cabins available. You can rent canoes as well. There are piers...More

I would think that you will be fine. All vehicles have to stop at station before entering the park and pay the fees. I would assume there are park rangers patrolling the property also.

Spring Break should be a good time. The only concern is the amount of rain we get. The best time would be in late May/early June.
