My husband and I were the only ones that weekday, but it was nice because we could let the guide take his stories in any direction he wanted. It was a nice, peaceful ride on a pleasant fall day. The history was interesting....it's been several...More

Theis boat tour down Big Cypress Bayou was well worth the $10 ticket. The bayou was picturesque passing by a Confederate powder magazine. The boat captain and owner was very friendly, informal, and informative. Don't visit Jefferson without taking this tour. Unfortunately the actual turning...More

We took the hour long tour, the last one of the day around 4:30 pm. Our captain looked and sounded like Jack Hanna and was very knowledgeable about the history of the river basin and Jefferson. It is most definitely worth the money, they could...More

Good boat tour, owner had many historic facts and stories to tell, the ride was fun and nice, could use some updating / repairs of boat and dock but otherwise would recommend

This was a short trip (1 hour), but very entertaining due to the boat captain, John. His history of Jefferson was very interesting. He's one of those characters that you could talk with for hours. It was worth the $10 to just talk with him....More

Husband and I took this fun and scenic ride today. It was relaxing and only $10 per person for an hour ride. The tour guide was friendly and gave lots of interesting history about the area! A must do when visiting Jefferson!

John gives a great guided tour about the history of Jefferson, with a focus on the steam boats which used to come there. You get a beautiful view of the bayou and we saw Great Blue Herons and turtles. A very pleasant afternoon outing for...More
