Nice lakes, trails and park. Good place to get away. This is a nice property. It is somewhat plain compared to other state parks such as Lost Maples, Brazos Bend, Enchanted Rock, or Palo Duro Canyon. But it is a decent place to get outdoors...More

Have camped here many times in both a tent and a camper. We love it. Plenty of space between sites. Restrooms are always very clean. Staff is very nice. Plenty to do. Highly recommend.

Took the fam here for the kids first camping trip over thanksgiving holiday. Had a water only site that was pretty secluded or at least as secluded as you could get. We were within easy walking distance to the bathrooms and fishing pier. The park...More

Took the boat out to test the waters to see if the fish were still biting, NOT even a nibble. Nonetheless an enjoyable time seeing the two eagles 🦅 fly over and perch in the pine tree. Lots of ducks 🦆 on the water and...More

Love this place. Great trails, well maintained campsites, and family friendly facilities. There are a lot of activities offered. We have small children (2 and 4) and stuck to hiking trails. It was their first camping trip and they absolutely loved it. This place has...More

They allowed us to drive through the park. It is very beautiful. They have a little bit to offer for all outdoor adventurers. Canoes, camping, fishing, cabins and more. I would love to stay at this beautiful place.

My husband and I like to camp mid-week in Spring and Fall to avoid a crowd. Even with some pretty gloomy weather, Huntsville State Park was slightly hectic for us. It is nice to see a well-loved park. There was a lot of fishing, a...More

This is a very nice park but several of the camp sites lack much flat ground. We enjoyed the trails, everything is kept clean, and the park rangers were helpful with information about the surrounding area.

My son and I went camping here for the weekend. Perfect weather, but the campsites are on top of each other and it was crowded. My neighbors alarm woke me up Sunday morning. The park and campsite was clean. Park ranger shut down the rowdy/loud...More

Especially do not leave your children unattended. Check with park rangers as well. I personally saw Aligator in the lake. The park is not the most beautiful. The playground, some picnic benches and toilets need renovation

Never trust beasts, no matter where they are. Ask the park ranger's supervisor how many accidents they have per year.
