I wouldn't do it unless you have tickets as part of the city pass. We just felt it was a little pricey for the size. It's fairly small but did have nice fish. And of course no one likes the white tigers locked in the...More

Small location under the overpass which is good for parking. The attractions are small but the kids seemed to love it.

The Downtown Aquarium would be a great place for your family of all ages. There are quite a variety of animals and you get up close and personal. There is a small train that runs around the grounds which is great for small and older...More

The white Tiger was awesome. The starfish, and other touchable creatures amazed me and the boys. There are also carnival rides and an out doors train ride that goes allover the aquarium. There is also a restaurant serving fine and casual dining options. Dress up...More

$$$ Landry's restaurant but good fun for a day with the kids! Bring your wallet. You pay for each and everything.

I normally take my three year old here in hot days, but this is a chain of aquariums and it's over price from the parking lot to all the actives m. I feel sorry for white tigers, I don't think this is an appropriate place...More

We come here probably twice a year but I think my ultimate experience was Breakfast with Santa. My girls had an awesome experience. We went on 2016 Christmas Eve and I think it was the best decision we made. I no longer live in Houston...More

It was an empty day, so very nice to experience at own pace and without crowds. However, I've seen out slammed when picking up citypass tickets. So plan ahead.

We've been here many times as we live about an hour away. The dining experience is unique with hundreds of fish and floor to ceiling aquariums surrounding you. We take our kids here for special days (New Years Eve and other adventures). Staff is always...More

This is one of the places we return to every so often. The kids really enjoy the space and the great view of the restaurant aquarium. Food is plentiful and mostly very edible. The starter of crab dip is, in fact, extremely good. Most of...More

My Husband & I are planning to visit the Houston Aquarium in August. We've both been to lots of Aquarium's. The last one we visited was the one in Niagara Falls on the American side and, it was very small an needed funding, also parts of it was under construction. The sea lion exhibit was closed also (the main attraction). Can anyone tell me if Houston's Aquarium is bigger? Some of the reviews I've read have mixed feelings, stating small but nice to really having a good visit and a really good time. I would appreciate any input you can give me. Thanks

This aquarium was super small in my opinion. You could easily see it all in 15 minutes. It took us 20 minutes, but we had a toddler with us and went very slowly. Overpriced. Underwhelming. If you have gone to "real... More
