Small but really nice. Lovely tropical foliage and flowers and so many beautiful colorful butterflies in a greenhouse setting. It's temperature controlled and feels humid and warm initially but we were so busy identifying the different butterflies that we did not notice after some time....More

The Cockrell Butterfly Center can be visited separately from the Natural History Museum although you access through the same entry point. Go to the end of the entry lobby to the far gift shop on your right to buy the tickets. It’s a very nice...More

This is one of the finest butterfly centers in the country. It is part of the Museum of Natural Science, and features thousands of butterflies in a huge tropical "greenhouse" dome structure. This is great for the whole family.

This was an incredible add-on to the Natural History Museum - you can do either or both but you have to get a ticket for each. I saw other reviews that said the place was small and so I didn't know what to expect... but...More

Get up close and personal with butterflies...there is also a waterfall/cavelike area, and somewhere is an iguana (ugh), in a cage...otherwise beautiful, and peaceful respite...

I went there as part of a birthday party for my grandson. It was an ideal place for a birthday party, and the adults at the park also seemed to really enjoy the butterflies and the gardens.

The Cockrell Butterfly Center is special. A place where your inner child is at home and playful. If you want a place to get back in touch with yourself, I recommend the Cockrell Butterfly Center.

The butterflies land on you everywhere you walk. This is a delightful place with fruit hanging from the trees to attract the butterflies. You can climb up the steps in this three story glass greenhouse and look down at the beautiful scenery. I enjoyed seeing...More

Compared to the Butterfly Museum in Phoenix, AZ this is on a smaller scales and less varieties of butteryflies, but it is well designed and a nice butterfly center to visit. They have a butterfly identification laminated small poster that the children can take to...More

About an hour; you first sit down for a 5 minute, informative video, and then walk around and explore on your own. We like to give the butterflies a chance to get used to us a bit, so they land, and you get some great... More

I have been many times, never seen a service dog. Agree that a dog could be a hazard to small creatures in the exhibit. You can enjoy the BC in less than an hour, so maybe someone with you could watch your service animal in... More
