If you like good music and big movies, this concert was a can’t miss experience. Our nine year old grandchild thoroughly enjoyed the concert. An excellent program, very well performed. Houston Symphony remains a great outing.

The concert was fantastic and the director is FUN! He moves around and gyrates and enjoys himself and it seems that the orchestra likes working with him. The venue is very large but somehow doesn’t feel too big once the concert begins because the stage...More

Anytime James Gaffigan is conducting is great. So charismatic so much energy don't get me wrong the orchestra is great too. The oboe horns harp just beautiful. I went twice to the same concert.

If the experience my wife and I had is any indication of the typical performance level of the Houston Symphony, this is an attraction not to be missed if you are in the Houston area during this group's season. This orchestra's riveting performance of Mahler's...More

A very enjoyable evening, with world class performers. This was a first for us, and likely to become a regular Christmas tradition. The Symphony Chorus, which is staffed by volunteers (I think) was outstanding, and truly complemented the soloists. The lead trumpet shone, especially on...More
