Great variety of animals to see, it's well laid out so it doesn't take all day to get round. Good for all the family. It is busy though, so pick a good time to go. I would avoid school holidays and saturdays.

As far as zoos go thus be is great. Thoroughly recommend the children's zoo really well done. You have to meet Fiona the giant rabbit. The primates were really good and the sea lion training session was really informative. Suggest you take your own food don't buy the coffee. Have not had a cup that bad ever

My wife and I have 3 daughters, ages 12, 10 and 6 We purchase an annual membership every year even though we live 45 miles north in Conroe TX. From gorillas to elephants. From serpents to wild cats. This zoo has it all. Plenty of shade from beautiful Texas oak trees. My wife and I would probably go even if... More

Went to the zoo and had such an enjoyable day. The weather was great and many of the animals were active. So, looking forward to the new elephant exhibit opening later this year.

If you're looking for a quick wscape to the Jungle...A visit to the the Zoo would be the best decision! A great variety of wild animals! 2 negative things: 1- A lot of missing popular animals like Hippo, Kangaroo, Black Panther, Eagle,... 2- A big part of the wild animals are noway to be seen or too lazy to move...that's... We visited the "zoo light" evening. The decorations and lights were beautiful. Only suggestion, people without children should visit after 8:00. The small children in Strollers have gone home. The lights are worth the trip.

The Houston Zoo is yet another stable her. On the weekends tons of people fill Herman Park to get to the Zoo. Strollers, adults, children and teens are always there. It is relaxed, casual and fun. The children love the animals but I think the adults are just as happy to see them. In Houston, going to the Zoo is... More

The Houston Zoo is a treasure trove of well organized animal displays, educational sites, play zones, and food and drink stops. It is immaculately clean; there are numerous bathrooms, including large individual family bathrooms with changing tables; and lots of water fountains for all sizes. Strollers and wagons are available to rent. Parking can be particularly crowded on busy days... More

The zoo is well-organized and maintained. Many things to do in and around the park for all. Parking is free but can get busy in the afternoon...you can bring your own food into the park.
