Now that They installed parking meters everywhere You have people walking around checking the meters in writing tickets Plus there has been a rise in theft in the rice village area as far as car break INS... The shops are pretty much standard although they...More

Many people told me to come and look around here. It is okay. There are some nice places to eat. Like Zoe's Kitchen and then grab coffee from the place next door. The shops are a bit sniffy and over priced. Nice to browse around...More

The village used to be a place to find funky, trendy little shops and have a fun morning. Has now been taken over by large expensive stores. If that is what you want then this is a great outdoor shopping experience with plenty of restaurants...More

Rice Village has morphed into every strip center in USA. The shops are the same at every mall. NO individuality at all PLUS parking meters - wow - what a let down.

If you are looking to scratch that shopping itch and find some eclectic, unique places to eat then this "outdoor mall" is for you.

Stop by Half Price Books for an enormous selection on books, CD's and DVD's at bargain prices. Super CD selection of great old country artists and terrific selection of books on all things Texas!

Various retail standbys including the Gap and Ann Taylor and Talbots's. A changing mix of food establishments- La Madeleine and Starbucks are gone! 😢 Parking is more of an issue than in earlier days as well but you can still get parking validation.

Originally were looking for a place to eat and I mentioned going here. From being out of town I didn't know what to expect but was pleased. A wide infusion of shops and eateries. Friendly atmosphere. Would go back and recommend.

We used to love to come to Rice Village, that was before they installed the parking meters everywhere. These meters gave people an uninviting and unfriendly feeling. We no longer can run into a store and check out things quickly without paying for parking. Now...More

The Rice Shops are fun and unique. It's a great place to wander around and pick up a few unique items: from food to sweets to clothing. I enjoyed an afternoon exploring.
