Ok so it was burning hot-about 95 degrees which is the only time I had on the way to Harlingen Airport. Not a great time to see much birdlife but I did see Hummingbirds, a green Jay, some doves and a few others taking advantage...More

I was able to enjoy many birds in such a small area. I was fortunate enough to have a caretaker stop by and share some space with me. I will definitely go back when I am in the area again.

We didn't see many birds when we were there, but the trails were well maintained. The various cacti species were interesting.

We stopped by at this unique nature center as we were traveling through the Harlingen, TX area. It is a delightful oasis for many species of wildlife, including some migrating birds that were "lifers" for us. It's a great place to walk and enjoy the...More

I have visited this park many times over the years. Just as in virtually every place in the lower Rio Grande Valley, your success in seeing birds and other wildlife is a hit or miss thing. Some times it's great, sometimes not. If the weather...More

I live very close to the park and visit often. My husband walks our dog there daily. The park features native flora and fauna, which in south Texas is primarily Tamaulipas thorn brush. I have heard numerous different languages spoken in the park from birders...More

I've been here twice and each time I've seen different birds. There are a couple places where you can sit and watch the birds or take pictures. There are numerous hiking trails so you can spend a couple hours here if you want.
