Small local museum
Sep 2020 • Family
This museum is open during COVID-19 and has free admission (donations welcome). It is small with 2 rooms of historical collections of the surrounding Texas areas. They had the broom-making machines of the local Goliad Broom Factory.

Fun little local museum
Mar 2019 • Couples
You might not spend a lot of time in this little museum, but when you're visiting Goliad, you should not skip it. Inside you'll find a collection of old objects and photos that tell you more about the local history. Inside there's mostly a volunteer that will tell you a little more about Goliad and will ask you to sign the register. Entrance is free, but a donation is welcome.

We visited this museum and learned it's history on a nice day. They have a center patio courtyard I wish I had!

Small building packed full of history.

We stumbled upon this little museum while exploring the courthouse square. Nita was friendly and informative, teaching us about the area history, and telling us about many of the items in the museum. My husband was enthralled by the original Model T owner's manual, my daughter liked the old typewriter she actually got to use, and I was fascinated by the pre-electricity xray machine. Next time I'll stay longer!

Building
Dec 2016 • Couples
I can only give a review of the actual building and grounds since I visited it on a Monday and they were closed. The building is unique and conveniently located in the town square near other places. It appears to have be a bit small but probably worth a visit. The website stated that it was free admission so you can't beat the price

Personal tour
Jul 2016 • Family
We entered and I apologized for arriving close to closing time. We were very welcomed in and gave our family a awesome tour. My grandson stated his class(4th grade) studied Goliad. He was amazed by what we saw and learned here. It was great history! A must see. And even the kids earned a pencil...how great is that!

Great Displays and a Real Historian
Feb 2016 • Couples
We stopped in for a ten-minute visit and stayed for an hour. The curator was on site and he is a true historian! He speaks with both knowledge and passion about local history and really seems to enjoy sharing the many displays and artifacts he and others have collected.

Very informative

We stopped at the museum while walking around the square and were glad we did. It's a small place but there is lots to look at if you take your time. The man who was working there was very helpful and had great knowledge of everything in there. He was more than helpful to show us around.
