Young Children Love Hands on Activities, so pay the extra to pan for gems and feed the fish. Sifting for fossils is included in the admission fee.

Nice paved shaded trails. The kids got to mine for gems, uncover dinosaur bones and dig for fossils. There is a big playground and picnic area also. The museum was good. And the kids loved feeding the Koi.

The dinosaurs are statues in a natural setting, similar to what you might see in a museum. The fact they did not move didn't detract from my 5 year old grand twins enjoyment!

2 to 3 hours. Check the fossil dig times (4 or 5 times a day as I recall) and you may want to schedule accordingly.
