My father and I walked all around the park, between the rocks, and checked out some of the vernal pools. These rocks appear to be glacial erratics, although we couldn't find any informational resources to corroborate that assumption. It's pretty tiny but definitely worth a...More

I know what you’re thinking, “how big are these rocks?” Well, trust me when I tell you, they are pretty BIG. We could have spent all day leaping from rock to rock, there were smooth rocks and rough rocks, some rocks were far and some...More

Our kids were fascinated by these huge rocks. You can play in the shallow water, and the park prvides life vests to use if you wish for extra safety.

Not that large of an area, but cool geology and a lot of fun to climb around. Would be even more fun in warmer weather with a bathing suit. Lots of pools of water trapped by the eponymous big rocks

This quick stop is good for kids to burn some energy. Athletic shoes are a must! Good place to have a small picnic.

Pretty nice streambed with tumble of big boulders. Virtually no flow in this stretch of Paluxy River when I visited. Slippery rocks along a near stagnant stream. After a rain would expect it to be more interesting and a fun place for kids to play.

We parked near the restrooms and walked across the spillway dam to walk down the paved and lighted walking path. We turned around before going to the end.

Not everyone in the group would want to climb all over the rocks but they can still enjoy this area. Climbing is alot of fun but so is collecting rocks to skip on the river and wading into the shallow clear water. They even have...More

No. It's not very big , but it's worth seeing if you happen to be there. You can park and walk right in.
