What a great place to take children! We were under time restraints and visited in the winter months so did not get to explore the area as thoroughly as we wanted. However was a great experience to see the dinasour tracks on the riverbed. Even...More

Had a blast checking out this state park. Its easily doable for people of almost all physical ability with the caveat that you should be able to walk 1/2 mile or so at minimum. I wish I was able to see the tracks as the...More

You get to see some dinosaur prints preserved in the water, and then there are lots of trails to hike on. We weren’t always sure we were going the right way, make sure you grab a map before hiking. Also the waterfall is seasonal, so...More

We just had a great time camping. The facilities were clean and warm. The park rangers and park hosts were friendly and helpful. The park store is small but has some fun family friendly souvenirs! Our 3 children had a blast hiking and looking at...More

The dinosaur tracks are really cool to see, but the river itself is breathtaking. Talked to a staff member and he said it is PACKED from March to November. 60,000 people will come through there.

What an amazing place! We've talked about making this trip for months and finally enjoyed every minute. The trails are clear, our 7-year old LOVED walking across the river on rocks. Check before you go on the river level because there were some tracks we...More

What a place to make you feel insignificant as to timeframe and the size of the dinosaur. Tracks were great to see and to ponder that they'd been there before us! Awesome!

The dinosaur tracks are ok but it’s worth the visit to just get outdoors and hike. We had young children with us and they could hike and climb just about everywhere we went. We ate lunch by the playground and visited the gift shop.

We visited this park during a recent Texas road trip. During the week and out of the main holiday season we saw less than 20 cars during the time we were there. There are plenty of walking options and it was a hot and sunny...More

This is a great place for kids to explore dinosaur tracks by the river! There are places marked with informative signs that help educate about the history of the dinosaurs in the area. Great picnic places too!

I am not a hiker at all and did not experience any difficulty. A few of the areas were steep, but not terrible. The loop around went through the edge of some very flat land. The most caution should be when entering the... More

I mean, my family and I spent an afternoon walking around searching for dinosaur tracks. Then we went back to Dallas. I'm sure you could spend longer than an afternoon if you wanted but even just that was really nice.
