This is a fishing pier. It's not a pier to just enjoy the view without doing any fishing. To get on the pier costs you $12. Fishing persons are not required to wear a mask while fishing, but they must maintain a social distance. There's a gift shop. There is an observation deck, which allows you to watch fishermen down the pier. It's $2 to get up on the observation deck. There are bathroom facilities. Some food is available. I spent half an hour here on the observation deck, and enjoyed the view, though I would have preferred to get closer to those who were fishing. Apparently the pier is open 24 hours a day.

Went to Galveston for a mini vacation and my friend and I checked this place out because it looked like a bar. We read the signs at the front of the pier and we didn't see any names but it did say FREE fishing. Well, we went and checked it out and its a cool little store for a few things but it will cost you $2 to go to the observing deck and $12 to Fish on the pier.. So, we were confused while they were charging when it said free.. We looked around then left.. Wasn't really for us..

Milam Bragg at the pier always makes you feel like family! We’re from Dallas and only go a few times a year but he always remembers us! Good people and great fishing! Highly recommend this place!

My husband and I went to check out the pier and the fishing. My husband has a cast on his leg, so we couldn't fish, but wanted to check it out. We were able to go out on the deck and check it out. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to us with my husband's knee scooter. We enjoyed it so much we brought my teenage son out the next day to check it out. He caught several fish and had fun talking to the other people fishing.
