Pier 21 theater was raved about by a local that we had talked to, so we decided to check it out. The girl at the admissions counter looked less than enthused to be there and looked like she'd rather be somewhere else. The background music...More

We saw The Great Storm, a 25 minute movie about the 1900 Galveston hurricane. $6 per person was too much for what it was. It was my husband and I so we paid $12 and it reminded me of those cheesy movies you had to...More

Was told to make sure and check out this theater. We watched the Great Storm - it was a good history lesson and a short movie.

There are just two short films of relatively low quality, and , of course, a gift shop. No artifacts, photos or other displays of the horrendous storm.

Film about the 1900 Hurricane/Flood was dated and not of good quality. It was fairly superficial. We decided not to see other films here.

The Great Storm video presentation is a great oral history of the early days of Galveston and the Great Storm. The first hand accounts are supported by a well produced video collection of pictures, drawings, and documents which reinforce the intensity of the storm and...More

We went to see The Great Storm movie...but it wasn't a movie, merely a collection of drawings, photos, and narratives from the storm. While we learned something new, like what happened to the bodies, we were disappointed with the presentation given for the admission charged.
