Great presentation on sea turtles - everything is covered by their volunteers. Interesting notes on habitat, environmental problems, and the work of NOAA. The live turtle area is wonderful and interesting.

We were a little lucky to be able to do this tour since according to the office most people book this tour "months in advance". There was a cancellation and the office called to let me know that space had become available. I was a...More

We were excited to watch the sea turtle roundup, and the guide was excellent in the way she told the story! You never really know how many ways the government touches your life until you see something like this come to life before your eyes!

Fabulous experience. See the turtles close up. Hear about the life cycle, the endangered species, how they are trying to preserve their existence - all right there on the Island. Well worth a visit.

Visit their website and call ahead to ensure a tour. There is next to zero possibility of a "we just swung by to see the turtles" type tour. The tours were ended after hurricane Ike but they recently began giving tours again based on volunteer...More

Hi There are cancellations. I would recommend calling a few days before to see if that has happened. I would not recommend just showing up - puts the volunteer tour guides in an uncomfortable position.

This is a free attraction. I believe tours are only done on Thursdays. They recommend you book months in advance. We've been to Galveston twice and have yet to secure a visit. You need to call for reservations.
