We spent a nice afternoon here strolling and window shopping while enjoying the opportunity to enjoy a beer while doing so. There are a wide variety of shops, from typical souvenirs to high end clothing and home decor. I am so pleased that this lovely area has been restored and is enjoying a well deserved renaissance.

Really cool little strip of shops, restaurants and cafes, I enjoyed a relaxing walk and wander in the shops. Plenty of places to stop for a drink or bite to eat. No public toilets so you will need to coordinate that with visiting a cafe. Would recommend - make sure you stop at the ‘Welcome to Galveston’ Mural too.

Women like to shop whether they need to or not. Men like to drink beer whether they need to or not. The Strand accommodates both in close proximity.

Quaint shops - just wish more of them were open. Both chocolate shops were excellent. Few people in town, now that the cruise ships are not running.

We walked this area after dinner at one of the restaurants here. So many to choose from. There is shopping and good food of all kinds. Little candy shop and the oldest ice cream in Texas at La Kings . Lots of good bars. Parking is premium realty here. Be prepared to walk. Tons of old buildings with great architecture. A fun experience for a date or a family.
