Great staff, amazing views of the Hill Country. Note how all the negative reviews here are about too much visitation in a comparatively small State Park.

Nice hike in hill country just down the road from Fredericksburg and Llano. An spectacular view especially around sundown.

Have visited twice and both were during the week. Still quite a few people there but not packed. We researched before heading there and were aware of the possibility of it being closed due to overcrowding. The hike is easy for a less than medium...More

Enchanted Rock was beautiful to look at from a distance but...by the time we arrived they were closing it for maintenance until October 27. That is the only reason for a 3 rating.

This is a good hike for everyone. It is just enough of a challenge to make it fun but well worth the views. Be sure to walk around when you get to the top because there are better views around the other side and a...More

As I am not use to hills and mountains (from the Texas Gulf Coast Area), so, going to Enchanted Rock was challenging (acclimating myself to driving in this terrain), fun, and exciting all at the same time. I learned about the rock while attending a...More

Really cool area with nice views. Just be prepared to go early. The park closes when it hits capacity for three hours. When it reopens in three hours only those who picked up vouchers will be allowed to enter. So dont plan to go in...More

By no means a challenging hike, but an interesting outcrop for Geologists and laypersons. Take heed to the warnings about it being difficult to scramble up when wet.

My dog and I hike the trails that surround Enchanted Rock. Dogs cannot go up on the rock (too dangerous). The loop trail is almost 5 miles around and well marked. The views are awesome and plenty of space to just enjoy a good day...More

It’s not too cold here during Thanksgiving. I also don’t imagine it will be busy. I’d dress in layers and watch the weather.

The park is actually closed this week for a group hunt/ event. I believe they reopen on Friday at 2pm. So I wouldn't show up until then.

After reading the other responses, I agree with their descriptions. I would only add that if you think it's too imposing, go anyway. I was intimidated by its size, plus I'm not a hiker. Take it easy, take water if it's hot... More
