Is is such a privilege to tour this place. Actually watching money being printed is amazing. And the staff, from the security staff at the entrance to the gift shop staff and the professionals on the printing/production floor who waved at us as we walked around the catwalks, were all exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The educational displays were very nice... More

Even though it's off the beaten path, very informative and educational. Took my 16 year old daughter - and now we are checking our currency to see if it was made there! We made the mistake of going at lunch time though, but we just took our time until they came back from their break so we could see them... More

My husband and I visited on the recommendation of my daughter who had visited with 2 boys ages 7 & 5. It is a self guided tour with a speaker system you carry with you. Very interesting...the technicians on the work floor below will occasionally look up and wave. No free samples, unfortunately! The rest of the building is informative... More

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing offers Americans a chance to experience a process they rarely get to see: printing of our nation's currency. Obviously the security is tight and visitors need to be aware that they will have to go through metal detectors and leave all electronic devices when they enter the facility. But the chance to see money... More

Being from Australia it was very interesting to see how America currency is made. The history behind the process too was really interesting as well. Would go back again on my next trip to show my children.

We arrived around 3:45 on a Thursday. It was perfect timing as we were told at times there can be a wait. You have to leave your cell phones in the car(for obvious reasons). You have to go through a security scan and then take a shuttle to the main building. It is a self guided tour. My teens and... More

A well worth it way to learn about U.S. currency at your own pace. I would highly recommend it on any hot, humid, sunny, or rainy day. Best of all, the entire tour is free of charge. Understandably, no cell phone is allowed. I would certainly want to revisit it if I am ever in Ft. Worth again.

This is a self-guided tour, for which they supply a device where you punch in a number at each station and receive facts about what is going on there. Overall it's a pretty decent tour, but I wish there was someone at the end to ask additional questions. Also, the gift shop was seriously over priced.

Ever wondered what the process was for US currency printing? There are only two locations for printing currency in the US and one is in Ft Worth and the other in DC. The Ft Worth location offers free daily tours where you can actually see the our US currency being printed. The tours are self guided and free and very... More

The video explaining the whole process was interesting and educational and helped you to understand what you were seeing during the self guided tour afterwards. The tour itself could probably be improved as the explanations on the audio wand were very long and boring at times. I usually started walking to the next window still listening to the previous window's... More
