There's no advertising that I'm aware of for this site and it's also a little off the beaten path so for that reason on most days it's empty. That's really a prefect way to have time to study the exhibits without being rushed along/ Admission is also very easy on the pocketbook.

I've long wanted to come here as I've always enjoyed aviation. The collection is pretty good. The star attraction is their perfectly preserved DC-3. There's also a good collection of memorabilia from American's history. That said, the collection doesn't flow very well and part of the space is really dimly lit. Also you can skip the movie it's not really... More

I was very impressed with the heritage collection and archive at CR Smith museum. The airline has done a fantastic job of preserving your history showing "how we got here". It has been updated to include the US Airways history and the heritage of USAir, PSA America West etc, at all now been rolled into the American brand. There are... More

What a great place to learn about our airline heritage. It's fascinating, and there are nice hands-on exhibits for the kids too. What I really like is the history of my airline (AA). It makes me feel such loyalty, but I think anyone who is interested in aviation could enjoy it.

The museum visit was satisfying and fun for kids. Loved the small plane. There are activities for kids too. Plane lovers would definetly enjoy. Gift shop, theatre are some attractions.

This museum is located near the AA campus very close to DFW airport. The museum includes many "hands-on" exhibits and depicts aviation history as well as the history of American Airlines. There is an entire DC-3 within the museum that you may enter. In addition, the theatre shows a very well done "history of aviation" movie. Overall, as an AA... More

Great museum for airline history buffs. Planes / models / many exhibits / hands on. Gift shop movie area, just a good way to spend a few hours. Near DFW airport and within walking distance of AA training and conference center.

If you're an avid and proud American Airlines history buff or just an aviation geek like myself, I would highly recommend checking this museum out! A short film in real older model AA seats starts you off in order for you to get your bearings. (If you've ever sat in those seats before they'll definitely take you back!) Afterwards, you... More
