We have had our board meetings in this location and their food sandwiches are great and inexpensive.

Good customer service

I visited the library and picked out a movie. Little did I realize I didn't have my membership card. The front desk person told me not to worry with an ID I would be good. Fast computer access and printing for low cost.

Great Toddler Time
Jul 2016
In the summer, there were a few weeks that they had events for toddlers. I took my daughter and she seemed to enjoy it. It was a great cool place to do in the hot summer months. Also, the staff in the children's section were always helpful!

Love and Chocolate
Feb 2017 • Solo
I texted my classmate from the Edinburg High Class of 1973 Richard Sanchez who is an author about the night sky planets. He informed me that you can see Venus in the western night sky. At the same time he invited me to the library event Love and Chocolate. It was a nice evening where the friends of the library sponsored event. I went alone because my lovely wife was at work, but I enjoyed the event. As I went in to the room where the friends of the library were having the event I partook of the goodies. Then I sat in a table where I met a young couple. Then we enjoyed an evening of poetry readings.

Beautiful, modern and updated - user friendly library with helpful employees!!

Each time I've gone there, it's easy to sit and read or study without interruption. They also provide many activities for students and children and often have guest authors and art shows.

Nice local library
Jan 2017
The library is less than 20 years old and is well suited for the use of the community. Good selection of books for everyone.

Great local library
Dec 2015 • Friends
My wife and I were here all the time before I got my first real job after college. It has everything you can expect from a library, computers, printing, newspapers and books. The people there are very nice and helpful and check their website for activities for kids.

Quiet and comfortable
Apr 2016 • Solo
I frequently visit the library to browse the magazine and newspaper racks. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Since I don't have cable Internet but only metered wireless wifi, I often use the library to download computer and phone app uodates. I do wish their wifi was faster. I go down to the main McAllen library for large system updates because their wifi has a larger bandwidth.

Nice Library
Feb 2016 • Couples
We wanted to go to the library and use the computer services there. It is a beautiful library but it is not really accommodating to some winter Texans. We were told we had to have proof of where we were staying but being renters of someone else's home we had no proof of address. I think there should be an allowance made for winter Texans and this can be done by charging a fee to register to borrow books. To use the computer there should be easy because nothing is being borrowed.

Small but Impressive
Oct 2015
I joined this library as soon as I move to Edinburg. I found some of my favorite authors here and even discovered some new ones such as Jo Nesbo from Norway. If you like action packed murder mysteries, you cannot beat this author from Norway. The only downside is you have to wait on the newest book to be translated into English. I just ask the staff to put me on the waiting list and the send me an e-mail when they receive the next book or you can go online and do the same thing at their website. I also use the website to renew a checked book to avoid being late turning it in. I'm sure there is a limit on how many books you can check out but I've checked out as many as 5 or 6 at a time. They have an annual book sell once a year in October and I always find at least 10 or 12 books I just have to buy I love this library!
