Staff is very nice but the museum was lacking. It had a lot of general history items instead of just historical items specific to this town. However it is free so you can’t complain about much.

Grandson enjoyed wandering the outdoor displays on a cold December day. The dog stretched as well, as we had the park to ourselves. Immediately adjacent to the Dumas La Quinta.

Dumas was a bit out of our way, but this museum is well worth the trip! Friendly and knowledgeable staff! Tons of thoughtfully-displayed historical items. Hours of FREE entertainment.

The staff were very helpful and had wonderful stories to tell about their exhibits. I loved the variety of things they had to observe, and it was very enjoyable for my 2 year old nephew. I highly recommend visiting if you haven't already.

My family enjoyed the museum and all of the exhibits which told the story of the area. The model of the refinery was really interesting to me.
