It was a pleasant surprise to find such a nice park with a great beach in lakes and prairies region near dfw. The staff was pretty good on a good friday and they have cheerfully handled a number of campers late in the day. The rest rooms were kept clean inspite of the maximum turnout at the park. I will... We camped here for a night this Easter weekend - had a great spot on the Elm Fork camping area which overlooked the lake. I expected the campsite to be lower to lake level for some reason, but it's probably 40 feet or so with a metal fence that runs along the side of the campsite since a lot of... More

Went with family with little children. Dinosaur Valley State Park seems better more enjoyable with kids. There is a nice spot for rock climbing maybe teenagers will like.

I felt $10/ 5 per person for day use was a bit steep. The beach access is steep as others have mentioned . The trail was lovely with spring flowers. Views and lake access were disappointing. This is definitely a boating park.

Park staff are very nice. Stayed in a shelter. Only a few have room for 1 or 2 tents. (1, 34, 35, 33, 32, 18, 27) stayed in shelter 34. Shelter was nice for food prep and storing. Great hiking trail. A lot of fossils. Restroom and park were very clean. You can fish from the shore. Did not fish.

We stayed here for several weeks when we moved to the area, although they made me move every two weeks due to some law. Has a nice sandy swimming area. Some places are difficult or steep to get to the water to fish, with a little driving there are several places easy to get to. There are several day cabins... More

Eisenhower State Park is a good place to camp, walk trails, etc.. I love the fact that you can bring your dogs. I have a yearly state park pass that gets everyone in my car into the park.

My husband and I spent a night in our new camper out at Eisenhower State Park. We were in the Armadillo Hill part of the campgrounds. The sites are decently-sized where you aren't right on top of the site next to you. Bathrooms and dumpsters are conveniently located. Dogs are allowed (important to us as we like to travel with... We tent camped at Elm Point. Our campsite had a beautiful view of the lake; however, it can get windy out there on that peninsula. The hiking trail is nice - nicer in the spring/summer than in winter. Looks like it would be very challenging for mountain biking and it's not very long for a MTB trail, so I don't... More

Enjoyed the views of Lake Texoma during the time of year you can see through the trees to all shorelines. Delightful tour of the beauty of Texas.
