Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My uber taxi driver dropped me off here as I wanted a proper recognised building in Downtown Dallas as a reference point to get another taxi back to my hotel in Coppell.
The building is magnificent, and a beautiful water feature in front of it.
I later found out it was used as the Police HQ in the Robocop film as it looked futuristic.
Spent a few minutes absorbing the tranquillity and the sound of water. Lovely.
Several hours later, I returned and called my Uber can for the ride home, again taking in the sight of the building, water feature and magnificent flags fluttering.

This was a very peaceful building when we visit. There is a nice grassy area in front and a water feature and memorial flag poles. Across the street is a memorial to the fallen Dallas policemen and women.

Dallas City Hall was built in 1978 and is a cream colored building in an inverted pyramid style. This was an I. M. Pei creation and has that look of many buildings that were built in the new wave era. It has that "it's different" feel, but nothing that is going to stand the test of time like many of Dallas' finest buildings.

If you get to Pioneers Cemetery keep walking up to the City Hall. Not a great deal to see but some nice sculptures and a nice place to sit and watch Dallas life.

This is City Hall located in Downtown Dallas. This is an ordinary building but the exterior is huge and good.

If you are in the area and interested in architecture this is an interesting building to see. Some say it was built upside down and it was featured in the movie Logan's Run.

Not much to see here: an unusual architectural specimen from I.M. Pei; rather sterile. Apparently featured in the "Robocop" film. Worth a walk-by if you are otherwise touring downtown.

A short walk south from downtown, the nice open park area in front of this large, unique building is has sculptures, reflecting pool and some absolutely great views of the Dallas skyline. A special treat early morning or on weekends without all the people and traffic.

Cool IM Pei building!!! Not wildly functional on the interior but it's filled with city employees, that for the most part, try really hard to be good stewards of our city's resources. The best times at city hall are when they activate the open areas, which needs to occur more often. There's lots of potential with the city hall plaza. Hopefully the potential will be realized when some of the surrounding projects are completed.

If you are a fan of the original Robocop film starring Peter Weller then this is a must stop for photos. The building may be too futuristic/unattractive for some, but it's an interesting design by the very famous I. M. Pei. The grounds, fountain, trees and three flags flying are gorgeous.
