If you're in the neighborhood it's worthwhile to wander the grounds of this beautiful university campus. Located about a ten minute drive from downtown Dallas, SMU is also the home of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Founded in 1911, SMU is old by Texas standards. While there are few buildings dating back to this time great care... More

I used to teach at SMU so am familiar with it in many ways. My favorite visit is to the Meadows Museum, which is the best Hispanic museum north of Mexico. It is amazing and well-curated. SMU's oldest building, Dallas Hall, build in 1915, and the main view as you drive up Bishop Blvd from Mockingbird is one of the... More

On the weekends, a great place to enjoy a walk on the grounds along the central boulevard. Next to the Bush library and across Hillcrest from lots of restaurants.

We know that a University is more than athletics, but that was our focus this trip. The campus is beautiful. As Methodists, it makes me both and proud and joyful to see the campus alive with learning. The campus is supported by the Mockingbird Transport Center for bus, train, and retail services plus a strip mall with restaurants and other... More

We stayed across the road at Hotel Lumen, so loved driving past this campus on our way out sightseeing each morning. We enjoyed walking through the campus grounds to visit the George W Bush Presidential Library. Loved the feel of the grounds and architecture of all the buildings. It is a beautiful campus, and as we were there over the... More

Take a break and enjoy the Habito outdoor Labyrinth at Perkins. SMU has beautiful, well kept grounds. The courtyard where the labyrinth is located is serene. Enjoy the peace and opportunity to do some meditative walking and/or prayer. So glad to have found this in between meetings

My alma mater, and I am proud to be an SMU grad, it was a quality education and an interesting experience with a sprinkling of the rich and famous. The campus is gorgeous, colonial style architecture, red brick buildings with white pillars, and gold domes on a couple of the buildings. If you get a chance, attend an SMU basketball... More

I love to visit here. It is hard to find parking but it is such a wonerful campus to walk around. It is so obvisous that there is great pride and heritage here. Buildings need to better marked but amazing buildings. I love this place.

Visited here to see the campus, beyond what is seen via sports venues. Enjoyed a wonderful walk around the campus and football stadium.
