As another reviewer said, this is a place that is not to everyone's taste. The modern visitor will be seeing a structure that now seems dated in comparison to more recent monuments. This particular monument was designed by Philip Johnson who was a friend of...More

This memorial is located just a short walk down Main Street from Dealy Plaza. It is a very simple monument to President John F. Kennedy who was fatally wounded near here on November 22, 1963. While most visitors to the area spend most of their...More

This is a very nice place to remember JFK and the work he did, and the impact he made on the US. Should be visited.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but the starkness of the plaza was almost breathtaking. Well maintained with folks around to answer questions. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

If you're of a certain age, visiting this location is a very emotion al experience. Even if you don't go into the Depository, the Plaza is sight to see. But it is important for all to visit while in Dallas, young or old.

Perhaps the ugliest memorial ever built. Concrete slabs. Ick. I mean, if you feel compelled to see Dealey Plaza, well then at least it is green and eerily unchanged from the time of the Zapruder film. Far better to see something artistically or spiritually uplifting...More

This unusual memorial seems underwhelming until you read the plaque that explains the reason for the style.

It really moved my husband being here, it is always nice to go to locations with meaning to those you love.

Because it is so close to where Kennedy was shot, I expected something more than 4 concrete walls and nothing else. Maybe I just don’t get it.

The John F Kennedy Memorial conveys simplicity and grandeur. Allow your mind to analyze and perceive the absence of everything, but the presence of so much! Totally recommended!

Expected much more here given the significance in history this event had, almost passed the site without knowing and then very little information on site to tell the story of the fateful day.

Basically a monument to JFK near where he was shot. I like monuments but this one was just ok. Worth a visit if you are in Dallas just to say you were here.

I honestly don't know where the nearest one will be, but considering the size of this city, you'll be able to find one.
