The adventure at The Dallas World Aquarium begins at the top of the rainforest exhibit, where exotic birds, such as Cocks-of-the-rock and many species of toucans, can be seen. Lounging around are Two-toed and Three-toed sloths. Endangered animals, such as Orinoco crocodiles, Giant river otters, Antillean manatees and several species of monkeys are part of the many conservation projects. The aquarium portion displays interesting marine life, including Japanese crabs, jellyfish, Leafy, Weedy and Ribbon seadragons. Black-footed and Blue penguins can be seen swimming as guests enjoy the outdoor South Africa exhibit. Sharks, rays and sawfish are only a few of the fish living in the Mundo Maya cenote. Safe from Neotropical eagles, are euphonias, tanagers and hummingbirds. Reptiles and amphibians, both of significance to the Maya culture, can be seen throughout the exhibit.

great place to visit

Crowded with kids but a great place to go for a visit. I would suggest as soon as they open as it gets crowded.

No it's not cheep but it's worth a visit. Take your time, stroll, read the exhibits, sit a while in the shark room. Enjoy

We really enjoyed the visit. The highlights were the tiny, tiny monkeys, river otters, and the sloth.

It is a little odd to find an aquarium in the middle of skyscrapers, but once step into the entrance, you are transported to a different world that feels close to nature. The exhibits are fascinating, and beautiful. Very well laid out, visitors are directed to view everything and to interact where permitted - especially interesting for children to be... More

This place is always wonderful and beautiful. It's great to see the animals in such a natural-looking environment however Lines for ticket can get long on the weekends, over an hour in some cases. Most all of the parking is metered. So plan it accordingly. Apart from that it has a lot more birds than an aquarium should, the shark,... More

Such a surprise in the middle of downtown Dallas. Wide variety of water creatures if course-- then there are howler monkeys, sloths, multiple species of birds and beautifully done paths and vegetation!

I have been visiting DWA since the day it opened. It remains wonderful after all this time. Each year it gets better. Fabulous Rain Forest and bottom level where the Aquariums are is so unique. I can spend hours here. I see and learn new things each time. Oh and restaurant is very good.

If you come expecting a pure aquarium you may be disappointed. This is more of a recreated rainforest that makes feel like you're in a jungle environment with the exception of all the other people:). The Mayan dancers are outstanding on the weekend. The sloth forest they actually have the sloths out close enough you could touch them if allowed,... More

This place was beautiful from the street all the way through. Not quiet the aquarium experience we expected but still a great visit. Lots to see!
