The adventure at The Dallas World Aquarium begins at the top of the rainforest exhibit, where exotic birds, such as Cocks-of-the-rock and many species of toucans, can be seen. Lounging around are Two-toed and Three-toed sloths. Endangered animals, such as Orinoco crocodiles, Giant river otters, Antillean manatees and several species of monkeys are part of the many conservation projects. The aquarium portion displays interesting marine life, including Japanese crabs, jellyfish, Leafy, Weedy and Ribbon seadragons. Black-footed and Blue penguins can be seen swimming as guests enjoy the outdoor South Africa exhibit. Sharks, rays and sawfish are only a few of the fish living in the Mundo Maya cenote. Safe from Neotropical eagles, are euphonias, tanagers and hummingbirds. Reptiles and amphibians, both of significance to the Maya culture, can be seen throughout the exhibit.

We made the mistake of going during school field trip season, but had a good time anyway. There are so many animals to see, and a lot of them aren't in traditional zoo-like habitats, but are roaming around free, or at least seem to be even when they aren't. We had to pay for our 2 year old, which made... More

It's a good place but sometimes difficult to enjoy it when it's too crowded. Space issues trying to get around.

There are so many animals, fish, and exhibits to see. The exhibits are close to the animals natural habitat and well done. Following the path allows you to see the exhibits from multiple angles which awed my daughter. She especially loved seeing how the ducks moved in the water from beneath the pond on the ground floor.

This place is in between block of flats. Nice but sad to see how small places for animals. I have never seen before like this. What a pity!

The Dallas World Aquarium is an amazing place. It's designed to make you feel as if you are walking down through a rain forest in some areas, an underwater world in others. From shark tunnels to the giant floor to ceiling glass mega tank displays. Indoor / outdoor penguin displays....... GREAT Food at a fair price! I believe 3 restaurants.... More

What a great surprise, what Dallas has an aquarium? My daughter said would I like to go, her nickel, since my doubts were high as this would be tough be beat the Corpus Christi Aquarium, my hometown...WOWZA the experience was awesome, from the tropical rainforest with macaws to fantastic large displays..yes Big D has an aquarium.

I stumbled across DWA and had no idea that I was in for such a unique experience. I found aquarium to be a bit of a misnomer as there is so much more going on in the space. After purchasing my ticket and viewing the few animals outside, I went in and was surprised at how the DWA is setup... More

I'm not a "zoo" person. However this is the best captive habitat for most of the animals I've ever seen. I loved how you start at the top of the canopy and work down to under water. Much more than fish! Too many kids though. They should offer an adult day.

I visited the Dallas World Aquarium with a few friends while on vacation. We went on a Monday and parking was easily accessible in front of the building. If it were a busier day, I do not think parking would be too difficult to find since there is a lot around the area. The aquarium itself featured not only sea... More
