Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So much to see here but there are plenty of coffee shops or restaurants to rest your feet. A lot of different galleries containing a vast variety of things. If you are into the arts you will really enjoy this area.

We ate at a great barbecue place here and a cool ice cream shop. It's fun just driving around looking at places too.

This review is perhaps altered by the fact we visited on a very rainy, cold, and overall miserable winters day, but I didn't think the area was anything to rave about. It is still a nice place to visit, although if you are walking there then it can get a bit sketchy as there are some rough areas between downtown and Deep Ellum. The art was cool and there were some 'hipster' shops that are worth a visit. I can imagine it would probably be a lot busier on a sunny and warm day, and we didn't try any of the restaurants which I hear are highly recommended. If I was visiting Dallas again then I probably wouldn't bother re-visiting, but for a first time it is worth it.

An enjoyable walk, a kick run, a day to take pictures...you name it and this area is good for these type of activities! It has a little of everything. Clean and decent.

I traveled to Dallas on a business trip, I stood in the downtown area at the Crowne Plaza. I took a 5-7 minute drive to Deep Ellum where the art is very beautiful. There are murals painted all over the walls of the buildings, there is also pieces on a statue about a story of a traveling man which is amazing. The Deep Ellum part of downtown Dallas is very rich with art and beautiful.

Within several blocks, you have it all. Art museums; sculpture museum; symphony; theater for performing arts, etc. The Dallas Museum of Arts has free admission, as does the Crow Museum of Asian Art.

Frankly, I was surprised at the intimacy of the theater. I thought that it was going to be at the Winspear Opera House, but it was at the Dee and ...... Wylie Theater....a difficult to find venue that frankly would have been better if I had had a guide. Although late, the usher kindly seated me. The excellent hospitality of the Conciere at the Adolphus must have had some sway, because usually I sit as far back as possible. This was a uniquely CLOSE performance...loud at times, but truly a pleasure....a soaring pleasure.

Good to see tax dollars and other funds go to fixing up the place. Lovely tree lined roads and fancy buildings everywhere.
