Mirów Castle is a little and very romantic castle located in the Eagle-Nest trail, between Czestochowa (he most important pilgrimage place in Poland) and Krakow (the historical capital of Poland). In fact, it is one of some castles located in this route, in the southwest of Poland. It is probably the smallest castle in the trail and pitifully it is... More

Mirow is located about 20 minute walk from Bobolice, so the best is to visit them together. Instead of going along the road, you can get there other way, wandering crag and tail.

As one of the stops on the Cracow-Czestochowa Upland is worth staying for a while.I would recommend to see both twin castles: Mirow and Bobolice and play: find the difference :) I suggest you to see before it will be renovated. In that way you can have a wider view of this spectacular surroundings.

This is a nice ruin to wander around. Unfortunately you can't go inside but the surrounding area is very nice.

This castle is still in ruin, but some works are carried out to preserve it. It is going to be at leats partialy restored in future. Currently it is privately owned by the same person as castle in nearby Bobolice (about 1,5km away following the red trail.).

This is a small castle and small ruins. One can't enter the walls, but the place is still nice as the castle is nicely located on a great path to a 2nd castle nearby. It's a small climb from the free parking lot.
