We walked across the dam and the view is beautiful. Very pretty lake. It is nearly a mile across the dam. Great place to get a walk in.

Easy drive to the dam headquarters with picnic area, etc. The restrooms are filthy, so plan to leave the overlook area for facilities.

We took my mom on a walk along the dam. She is on a walker & was able to navigate really well on the smooth surface. Thankfully there was a nice breeze off the water so it wasn't too hot. Decent bathroom too.
