Really enjoy going to First Monday. Great for an all weekend shopping excursion and you can find just about anything you can think of. We like to spend on day in the antiques section and another day in the regular Pavillion areas. We've picked up some great handmade items for christmas gifts. Highly recommend!

I visited today. This was my first trip here in 15 years. It seems much cleaner and organized than I remember. The restrooms were greatly improved from years past. This huge place has a variety of mostly craft type merchandise that has no appeal to me. At the food vendors many offer healthier choices other than typical carnival food.

The First Monday Trade Days in Canton is something to experience since it is so huge. It only takes place for a few days each month. It's open on Thursday through Sunday before the first Monday of the month. For example, if the first Monday falls on the 5th, then the Trade Days are open on the 1st through the... More

first of all if you are staying in a motel you need to check way in advance. In Oct. Nov. and Dec. all the motels are booked up a year in advance. Last month ( Nov) the closest room I could get was in Ft. Worth. But man is it fun. You will find everything you can think of to... More

After several trips with her girl friends and family, my wife finally persuaded me to check out Canton with her. It is HUGH! There was stuff for days. I really enjoyed looking at everything. The tacos at A&M Street Tacos were excellent as was Taylor's Ice Cream. We did not try Turner's Ice Cream but will definitely hunt out Taylor's... More

I have been to the Trade Days at least once a year for the last 15 years and I will go again. It is almost impossible to describe. Been going on for 100 years (so they say). On I-20, about 50 miles east of Dallas, small east Texas town, On the weekend before the first Mon. of every month it... More

This place is huge! We shopped Saturday and Sunday and our pedometer showed over 2 miles walked each day...good thing, too. There is a ton of fun foods...fried pickles, corn dogs, funnel cakes, turkey legs and my personal favorite...the hot mini donuts! (across from Martha's near the Breezeway!) There is a lot of duplication but keep your eyes open for... More
